Some thoughts after the Super Bowl:
1. Still the greatest single-season team ever? Yes, the ’85 Chicago Bears! If the Giants were able to get to Brady, imagine what the 46 would have been able to do to him!
2. I know there was just one second left on the clock, but Bill Belichick should have stayed on the field. His classless early exit to the locker room reminded me of Isaiah Thomas and the Pistons walking off the court as they were getting swept by the Bulls in 1991. And the post-game interview, if you want to call it that, was priceless. Has there ever been a more unlikable coach in the history of sports?
3. Tiki Barber has to be hating life right about now. Not only did he leave the Giants one year too soon, he was also proved wrong about Eli Manning.
4. My favorite ad was the Tide-to-go ad:

Rich — Yes!! I’m going to lobby Page 2 to get you your own column…
1. For real, it looked like a game of Madden where the Giants had found a cheat code.
2. And thank you for pointing out what a genuinely unlikable person Belichick has made himself out to be this year (running up the score at every opportunity, stubbornly refusing to answer *any* questions at all that might dare to question him or his team, etc). Stay on the field and take your comeuppance!
3. I felt bad for Tiki and for Shockey. Must have been really tough to watch.
4. Funny, but creepy, ad. What was the deal with creepy ads (e.g. the talking-baby ads)?
