Navigating Craigslist
I love Craigslist and I’ve had a lot of success selling stuff on it, including a stroller, lots of furniture, and even a car. Last night, I taught a class at Wauconda Area Library on how to navigate Craigslist. I started out by explaining what Craigslist is and how it works. Then I focused on tips for buying, selling, and how to stay safe and smart on Craigslist. I demonstrated how to post something for sale and then finished up by talking about bartering and a few mashups. The audience was great and they asked a lot of good questions. I think it makes a lot of sense for libraries to offer classes on Craigslist, especially now when so many people are looking for jobs and in need of extra cash.
