I work full-time at the Skokie Public Library as the Adult Programming and Technology Coordinator. As a member of the Adult Services Department, my work includes:
- Supervising a team of Patron technology assistants
- Overseeing the adult computer lab and the new digital media lab
- Coordinating technology training classes and other programs for adults
- Providing reference, readers advisory, and AV services
- Developing the video game collection

- SPL on Twitter – I help monitor and contribute tweets! Ongoing.
- Coming Together in Skokie – I serve on the planning committee for this community-wide initiative, which is designed to celebrate and the cultural diversity of Skokie. Ongoing.
- 10 Things @ SPL – I helped plan and lead this self-directed learning program providing library staff an opportunity to explore Web 2.0 tools and the impact these tools are having on libraries. Based on the original Learning 2.0 program developed by Helene Blowers and PLCMC. You can learn more from an article I wrote for NSLS. Fall/Winter 2007.
- SPL Bookmobile Schedule and Map – I created this map/schedule for the SPL Bookmobile using Google Maps. Fall 2007.
- SPL Search Plugin for Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 – This tool will allow you to initiate a search of the Skokie Public Library’s catalog directly from your Firefox or Internet Explorer 7 search box. Fall 2007.
